ANNUAL MEETING AT TULLY'S:  The Town's Annual Meeting will be held on April 23, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at the Clyde Hill Tully's.  All Hunts Points residents are invited to attend and enjoy complimentary beverages.  Please join your Mayor, Councilmembers, Planning Commissioners, other Board members and Town Hall staff to hear about plans for the immediate and long-term future of Hunts Point.

The Town has upgraded our Zoning Map to a color-coded version that is easier to read and decipher.  To view it, please click here.

The Town of Hunts Point held its Annual Meeting on April 4, 2007 at Tully's Coffee in Clyde Hill.  Residents who attended were treated to complimentary beverages and pastries and a presentation by Mayor McConkey as he reviewed highlights of the Council's recent achievements and outlined their plans for addressing current concerns, including security and emergency preparedness.  The meeting was well attended by residents; the following were topics of note for the evening:

  •   Automatic License Plate Recognition program.
  •   Medina Police Department safety handout.
  •   "Crime Prevention for Everyone", a booklet prepared by the Kent Police Department and designed to inspire readers to improve safety in their neighborhoods, help police fight crime, prepare for disasters, and watch for signs of terrorism.

BE PREPARED!  The Planning Commission for the Town of Hunts Point is busy preparing an emergency-response plan to assist residents in the event of an emergency or disaster.  HOWEVER, everyone in the Puget Sound area should be prepared to survive without outside assistance for a minimum of 3 days.  Residents are strongly urged to prepare personal Disaster Supplies Kits for home, auto, boat, office, etc.  Click here for suggestions regarding the contents of your Disaster Supplies Kit.  Additional information about planning and preparing for an emergency can be found on the King County website and the American Red Cross website.  The American Red Cross also has prepackaged disaster kits, first aid kits, books, and supplies available for purchase through the online store.
